READS CONTACTLESS CARDS
The RFIT Smart Card Reader Pro R 21156 supports retail applications for quick, convenient purchases where customer queuing must be minimized. It supports financial association requirements for contactless payments. Customers hold their card or key fob near the reader’s face to initiate a purchase transaction. The area is clearly identified by the Contactless Symbol. Four LEDs provide easy visibility for cardholder and assurance of card acceptance.
SMALL FOOTPRINT SAVES COUNTER SPACE
The reader has a small footprint to maximize counter top space. A mounting base adds to the reader’s mounting flexibility by providing both height and tilt
adjustments of the RFIT Smart Card Reader Pro R 21156module. The base supports hook-n-Loop strips and contains threaded inserts, which can be used for secure mounting. If countertop mounting is not convenient, the reader module can be removed from its base and attached to a transaction terminal or a vertical surface. The extended temperature reader may be used outside in semi-protected areas such as “covered” fast food drive-through lanes.
COMPLIANT TO INDUSTRY STANDARDS
The reader accepts data from a variety of contactless sources, including credit cards and key fobs. The RFIT Smart Card Reader Pro R 21156 complies with ISO/IEC 14443 Implementation Specifications. Both Type A & B modulation standards are supported. The reader face provides an overlay with the Contactless Symbol and area for logos and identification. Direct serial connection to ECR systems and POS terminals, allows personalized communication for applications such as e-coupons and other support applications.
